Congratulations ONDINE!
One of the very beauties of our job is to constantly meet people, learn about them, their company and their products.
I do like classical music and as time goes by the more I’ve grown to it. But I’m by no means an afficionado in the classical music sense so it took me a while to listen and get used to it.
So when ONDINE became our customer in December 2005 we had no real idea for whom we would be working. But then we learned of them as being one of the finest classic labels out there with an outstanding reputation for quality of their recordings. And ever since then we saw them receiving award after award year after year.
If you ever have the chance to put your hands on one of their recordings I suggest you to do so - and take your time. Its recordings are outstanding and as such a pleasure to listen to. But the quality already starts even before you actually listen to the recording. Where others have already stopped to care about: When you look at the CD, the CD’s cover and the accompanying booklet you will notice how much work and diligence has been spent on all the details: The look, the pictures, the footage, the enclosed information. It’s an experience and helps you to learn about the artist(s), the music, the composer. To anticipate the music. To breath and feel it. Whenever I hold one of their products in my hand I truly admire them. What I find even more astounding is the fact they are only a small Finnish company. Also a fact, most don’t know about. And this is happening in a business where retail is heavily declining year after year.
When ONDINE released the news yesterday all of us who have had the pleasure of working with ONDINE and it’s team were moved.
Reijo, this is to you and your team at ONDINE: Congratulations for this truly well-deserved award! May you guys keep up the brilliant work.
All the best to you and the future of ONDINE!
